Can you get a Santa call on Christmas Eve?

Yes, our live season runs from November 28 through December 24, 2026, so Christmas Eve is part of it. The honest caveat is that call times are limited. We offer evenings on Tuesday and Thursday and weekend mornings, all in Pacific time. December 24, 2026 falls on a Thursday, which is one of our call evenings, but we do not guarantee any specific time until you see it open on the booking page.

A Christmas Eve call is popular for an obvious reason: the excitement is at its peak. It is also the busiest day to try to fit in a call, so plan ahead instead of waiting for the week of Christmas.

How to give yourself the best chance

  1. 1

    Book early

Times are limited all season, and the days closest to Christmas fill first. Booking as soon as you know your family's plans gives you the widest choice.

  2. 2

    Have a backup

If your preferred slot is taken, pick another day in the week before. A call on December 22 or 23 can still feel like a Christmas countdown moment.

  3. 3

    Check the time zone

Our times are in Pacific. If you live in the Eastern time zone, an evening call here is later at night for you, which may matter for little ones. Convert before you book.

  4. 4

Book the video message as a companion

A Santa video message can build excitement in the days before. The last day to order a message for Christmas is December 21.

Planning the evening around the call

Christmas Eve is busy. A few small choices make the call smoother.

  • Keep the call away from the rush

Finish dinner and travel before the call, if you can, so your child is calm and not overtired.

  • Choose a quiet room

Relatives, music and wrapping paper all compete for a child's attention. A quiet corner helps your child hear Santa.

  • Charge the device

A fully charged phone, tablet or laptop avoids a mid-call scramble.

  • Tell the family

Grandparents and cousins can be nearby, but let your child lead the conversation.

  • Test early

Do a quick camera and microphone check ahead of time. Our how it works page has tech tips.

What to share with Santa when you book

Christmas Eve is a great time for Santa to ask about the wish list, what your child is looking forward to and who they are visiting. Share the name, age, wish list and fun facts when you book. Add a detail about your family's Christmas Eve traditions, such as a favorite cookie, a nighttime story you read together or the way you leave a snack out. Specific facts make the conversation feel personal. For ideas, see fun facts to tell Santa.

If the time you want is full

If Dec 24 slots are not available, you still have good options:

  • Choose another call date earlier in the week.
  • Order a video message by December 21. Videos always arrive within 3 days, so even the last-day order is in your inbox by Christmas Eve. Read last-minute Christmas surprise: Santa message.
  • Call us at 855-916-9921 with questions about timing.

Making the call feel magical

Small touches go a long way: dim the lights, put a mug of cocoa within reach, and let your child sit close to the screen. Read our post on how to make a Santa video call magical for more ideas, and prepare your child for conversation starters.
